Specifically, this fund is to facilitate the submission of an external grant application that is already close to the destination, which we define as a grant submission or resubmission

Wilkes Center Faculty Seed Grant

Applications are now open for the Wilkes Center for Climate Science and Policy Incentive Seed Grant. This funding is intended to provide faculty with initial support for impactful research exploring the fundamental processes surrounding climate change, as well as the policy impacts and opportunities. Awards will be up to $20,000 for single PI projects or up to $50,000 for multi-PI projects for one year only. Submissions are due by 5:00 pm on December 15, 2022. The Wilkes Center will notify awardees by March 1, 2023.

Data Science Seed Grant Program - Now Accepting Applications

The Offices of the VPR and the SVPHS Research Unit have co-sponsored an internal seed grant program in data science research as part of the recently announced One Utah Data Science Hub. Researchers can request up to $50,000 in seed grant funding to develop pilot data and/or resources with the potential to impact data-centric activities and generate successful external funding applications. Applications will be due by 11:59pm (MST) on Monday, November 7th, 2022. Full program and eligibility details are published in this downloadable RFA and on the InfoReady Application Portal.
