Data Science Seed Grant Program – Now Accepting Applications

The Offices of the VPR and the SVPHS Research Unit have co-sponsored an internal seed grant program in data science research as part of the recently announced One Utah Data Science Hub. Researchers can request up to $50,000 in seed grant funding to develop pilot data and/or resources with the potential to impact data-centric activities and generate successful external funding applications. Applications will be due by 11:59pm (MST) on Monday, November 7th, 2022. Full program and eligibility details are published in this downloadable RFA and on the InfoReady Application Portal.

Faculty interested in learning more about the Data Science Seed Grant Program are invited to attend an online information session. At these sessions, Faculty Directors will discuss the seed grant program guidelines and provide space for concept-sharing and proposal matchmaking. Successful Data Science Seed Grant Program applications will consider establishing and demonstrating strong, interdisciplinary partnership(s) with other investigators and/or entities on campus. These informational sessions will be an invaluable opportunity to connect with other investigators interested in submitting to the program and forming collaborations.

The final informational session will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 9:30am – 10:30am. Zoom Details are provided below.
