1. A one-page concept note
2. Estimated total budget
3. List of collaborators, if any
4. CV of the principal investigator

Announcing a new Mellon Foundation opportunity:  “Scholarship in the Service of Social Justice.” Grants will be made between $250,000 and $500,000. This is open to eligible humanities and humanistic social science fields, as outlined by Mellon here.

Because this is a limited submission, several campus areas will be coordinating to assist faculty and groups to prepare their applications. We are encouraging ideas in the three broad categories outlined by the Foundation:

• Civic Engagement and Voting Rights
• Race and Racialization in the United States
• Social Justice and the Literary Imagination

Brain Research Foundation’s Scientific Innovations Award Program provides funding for innovative science in both basic and clinical neuroscience. This funding mechanism is designed to support creative, exploratory, cutting-edge research in well-established research laboratories, under the direction of established investigators.
