VPR COVID-19 Update - May 19, 2021

The Office of the Vice President for Research would like to express our sincere appreciation to the U research community for working together throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are now entering a phase of the pandemic where we are transitioning from mandated requirements, such as required mask usage in all buildings, to voluntary precautions based on personal and collective responsibilities.

A new report from the Community Research Collaborative offers advice for both community-based and campus-based people who want to do collaborative research.

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training for Students

The mission of the Office of Research Education (REd) is to provide “comprehensive training and learning opportunities and resources for faculty, students and staff engaged in responsible conduct of research at the University of Utah.” Ensuring that students have the required information about the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) is a critical component of research training at the University of Utah. RCR training of Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Research Associates is a mandatory requirement for many federal research grants.
