Cottrell Scholar Award
Amount: $100,000
Deadline: July 1, 2021
The Cottrell Scholar Award (CSA) is available to early career faculty at US and Canadian research universities and primarily undergraduate institutions. Eligible applicants are tenure-track faculty who hold primary or courtesy appointments in chemistry, physics, or astronomy departments that offer bachelor's and/or graduate degrees in the applicant's discipline. For the 2021 proposal cycle, eligibility is limited to faculty members who started their first tenure-track appointment anytime in calendar year 2018.
Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Clinical Research Award
Amount: $20,000
Deadline: July 1, 2021
A single $20,000 award will be awarded in support of a manuscript involving clinical research related directly to musculoskeletal disease or injury. Basic science studies that involve human tissues will not be considered in this category.
Shaffer Grants for Innovative Glaucoma Research
Amount: $50,000
Deadline: July 15th, 2021
Through the program, one-year grants of $50,000 will be awarded in support of novel and promising research dedicated to clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory research on glaucoma, including protecting and restoring the optic nerve; accurately detecting glaucoma and monitoring its progress; providing better understanding and treatment for congenital/juvenile glaucoma; finding the genes responsible for glaucoma; understanding the intraocular pressure system and developing better treatments; and determining the risk factors for glaucoma damage using systematic outcomes data.
Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Care Physician Fellowship
Amount: $75,000
Deadline: July 28, 2021 (Pre-applications)
The program offers a one-year post-residency fellowship designed to train a board eligible/certified neurologist or psychiatrist in specialized MS clinical care, including the opportunity to perform new patient consultations and follow-up evaluations under the supervision of an MS specialist physician. The fellow also will participate in multidisciplinary team activities, lectures, and professional meetings.
Progress in Androgen Deprivation Therapy in Advanced Prostate Cancer
Amount: $250,000
Deadline: June 30, 2021
Through the RFP, grants will be awarded in the following general areas of interest: raise awareness of cardiovascular risk in patients with prostate cancer receiving Androgen Deprivation Treatment (ADT); differentiate the clinical significance of LHRH agonists vs. GnRH antagonists; provide multidisciplinary care teams the latest updates on ADT treatment options; and mindfully recognize patient preference and adherence data regarding oral vs. parenteral oncologic therapy.
