The University of Utah uses InfoReady Review software to host and manage all internal competitions for Limited Submission Opportunities. A Limited Submission Opportunity (LSO) is an extramural funding opportunity that limits the number applications submitted per institution. Researchers interested in submitting to a specific LSO must first apply to an internal competition and be selected to proceed with full proposal submission to the opportunity's sponsor. Internal competitions help verify the eligibility of an applicant and ensure that another application has not already been selected to submit to a specific limited submission opportunity. For full details and UofU LSO Best Practices, please visit the VPR Limited Submissions Webpage.

To better manage internal selection processes for UofU LSO submissions, the Vice President for Research Office has created the UofU LSO Portal to house all LSO internal competitions. This Portal is still housed on the UofU InfoReady Competition Space, but creates a focused hub to streamline the process of finding and applying for LSO internal competitions.

Investigators who wish to apply to a LSO that is NOT published in the UofU LSO Portal should contact Tyler Matsamas in the VPR Office as soon as they become aware of the opportunityand prior to submitting any pre-application or LOI information to the program's sponsor. Please include the sponsor, program title, first available deadline (LOI and/or application deadline) and a link to the solicitation in your notification email. Questions about the UofU LSO Portal (or about InfoReady Review) can also be directed to Tyler Matsamas.
