Research Incentive Seed Grant Program – Applications Due December 1st, 2021

The VPR Office is excited to announce that the Research Incentive Seed Grant Program is now accepting applications! We will continue to collaborate with College leadership to conduct this program. The goal of the Research Incentive Seed Grant Program is to support investigators in collecting preliminary data in new, innovative research areas that will be leveraged for extramural grant applications. In brief:

  • The VPR approves a set amount of funds for each college. The amount of these funds is based on the extramural award performance of the college.
  • Each college will run a competitive internal seed grant competition (via InfoReady) that aligns with their specific needs.
  • Colleges will submit a list of research projects to the VPR that they recommend for seed funding.
  • After final VPR review, awarded PIs will work with the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) to set-up a DSS account to access the seed funds.

Full eligibility requirements and program details can be found HERE.

To submit an application, please identify your College's internal competition in the list below. Questions about InfoReady should be directed to Tyler Matsamas. Questions regarding specific application requirements or competition details should be directed to the liaison listed on each College’s internal competition.
