FY22 Distinguished Research Awards (DRA)

The Distinguished Research Award (DRA) recognizes outstanding achievements in research by University of Utah tenured faculty. Up to three awards for outstanding achievements in research are awarded to University of Utah tenured faculty each year. This prestigious research award provides the faculty member with a $10,000 grant to pursue research and/or creative pursuits and recognition at the UofU Commencement.

Corporate Funding Opportunities

PIVOT Center works with companies to thoroughly understand their R&D goals and match them to research goals of the appropriate faculty members at the University of Utah. PIVOT’s Corporate Engagement team works across all schools and units to facilitate partnerships and offer expertise on identifying opportunities that include grant funding, sponsored research and creating strategic corporate partnerships. PIVOT also provides guidance to faculty for successful stewardship.

HCI Institutional Research Grant (IRG)

Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is accepting applications for pilot project funding from the Institutional Research Grant (IRG) awarded by the American Cancer Society. This funding mechanism provides pilot project funds of $30,000 over a one-year period. HCI has been awarded four IRG funding slots to fund basic, translational, population-based studies.
