Authorship Guidelines

As noted by the U.S. Office of Research Integrity, “Attribution of credit and responsibility is central to the structure of science.”  Authorship attribution is one of the most common problems that study teams face.  Guidelines about how to frame these discussions and how to determine who will be an author on a manuscript, white paper, grant proposal, etc. are provided in the Research Handbook on the Office of Sponsored Projects’ website.
