PIVOT Center works with companies to thoroughly understand their R&D goals and match them to research goals of the appropriate faculty members at the University of Utah. PIVOT’s Corporate Engagement team works across all schools and units to facilitate partnerships and offer expertise on identifying opportunities that include grant funding, sponsored research and creating strategic corporate partnerships. PIVOT also provides guidance to faculty for successful stewardship. Volvo Environment Prize

Nominations are open in all fields of environmental and sustainability studies and initiatives. The Prize is awarded by an independent foundation. A Scientific Committee does the initial screening and evaluation of candidates. Internationally renowned scientists in the Prize Jury make the final selection of prize laureate.

Open Innovation Program (Asahi Kasei)

ASAHI KASEI PHARMA OPEN INNOVATION is an open innovation platform started in 2016 to recruit candidates for research collaborations related to drug discovery. Clinical Investigator Award

The goal of the Clinical Investigator Award (CIA) program is to promote patient-oriented research through the training of surgical oncologists in clinical and translational science. Applicants must be surgical oncologists within 8 years of completion of training and be full SSO members for at least 6 months prior to application submission to be eligible for the award.

Ono Pharma Breakthrough Science Initiative Awards Program
Amount:
$900,000 for three years, and additional institutional indirect costs up to 15%.
Deadline: February 18, 2021, 5pm ET

Proposals from Principal Investigators will be considered for high-risk and high-reward science research projects which have potential to lead to science discoveries/solutions and, based on further research, to breakthrough treatments for patients. Applications will be considered from Principal Investigators in the Chemical Biology field for laboratory investigation to be carried out in the United States and Canada.

AI for Earth Grant Program (Microsoft)

AI for Earth grants provide access to Microsoft resources to support projects that change the way people and organizations monitor, model, and manage Earth’s natural systems. If you already have access to a labeled dataset and are ready to start using Azure AI tools and cloud computing, this grant provides you with Azure compute credits worth $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000 (depending on your project scope and needs). By being a member of the AI for Earth grantee community, you also have access to additional resources – technical advice and support, online Azure training materials, and invitations to the AI for Earth Summit for networking and education opportunities
