Sharing your Data Using The Hive: U of U Research Data Repository

  • Are you being required to share data resulting from your research?
  • Is the editor of the journal you’ve submitted to requesting a DOI?
  • Do you need assistance in determining the best way to share your data for the data management & sharing plan in a grant proposal?
  • Do you have data from research projects that needs to be stored and/or shared?

Librarians and professional staff at the Marriott and Eccles Health Sciences Libraries are ready and willing to assist you with research data sharing. We can help you locate a data repository based on your discipline and file format using our Repositories for Research Data guide. If no such repository exists, we can assist you in submitting your datasets to The Hive: University of Utah Research Data Repository. Once your data has been submitted to The Hive, we will provide you with a DOI. We can also assist with filling out a README file, adding the appropriate metadata (descriptors), and cleaning up/uploading your datasets.

To get started or learn more about The Hive, please feel free to contact us here. We will respond as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Please note that The Hive is for research data. For publication repositories, please use USpace.
