Data Science Seed Grant Program - Now Accepting Applications


The Offices of the VPR and the SVPHS Research Unit have co-sponsored an internal seed grant program in data science research as part of the recently announced One Utah Data Science Hub. Researchers can request up to $50,000 in seed grant funding to develop pilot data and/or resources with the potential to impact data-centric activities and generate successful external funding applications. Applications will be due by 11:59pm (MST) on Monday, November 7th, 2022.

Internal Funding Opportunities


To address short- and long-term helium shortages, there is a need for new and innovative helium alternative technology. To that end, we invite researchers at the University of Utah to apply for seed grant funding (up to $35,000) to develop helium alternative technology.

RSVP for Virtual F&A Town Hall


The Office of the Vice President for Research is hosting the Fourth Annual F&A Town Hall on October 19, 2022, from 12-1 pm via Zoom. The town hall is open to all faculty, staff, post-docs, and students, and will consist of a presentation and open Q&A session.
