The Office of Research Participant Advocacy is working round the clock to support University researchers. The team is here 24/7 to ensure that non-English speaking patients are able to participate in COVID-19 research. We provide over the phone interpretation via 3-way calls to facilitate consenting into COVID-19 research and study visits.

A key objective for the University of Utah is to provide an effective infrastructure to serve faculty and researchers engaged in seeking, applying for, receiving, and managing competitively awarded grant funding. Starting next month, the University of Utah will begin working with Huron Consulting Group to assess the university’s administration of externally funded proposals and awards.

Temporary Policy: Human Subjects Research Related Visits

The Office of the Vice President for Research is providing guidance related to human subjects-related research visits. This policy is being implemented to protect research participants, research personnel, and the larger University community from risk of infection from COVID-19, and to ensure continued access to clinical research that may provide essential therapies to participants.
