Data Science Seed Grant Program - Now Accepting Applications

The Offices of the VPR and the SVPHS Research Unit have co-sponsored an internal seed grant program in data science research as part of the recently announced One Utah Data Science Hub. Researchers can request up to $50,000 in seed grant funding to develop pilot data and/or resources with the potential to impact data-centric activities and generate successful external funding applications. Applications will be due by 11:59pm (MST) on Monday, November 7th, 2022. Full program and eligibility details are published in this downloadable RFA and on the InfoReady Application Portal.

Cash for Clunkers - Freezer Trade-in Program

The SVPHS Research Unit, in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Research, is again able to offer a freezer trade‐in program, intended to increase the efficiency and reliability of ‐80 freezers on campus. Program pricing has been negotiated with ThermoFisher to provide high‐efficiency freezers at the lowest possible cost to our programs. A $4,000 trade‐in rebate will be offered for all of campus. To be eligible to receive the rebate, programs must trade in an energy‐inefficient freezer at the time of purchase.
