University of Utah and NSF SWSIE will be highlighted at the 2024 Salt Lake County Watershed Symposium
We are delighted University of Utah, NSF Southwest Sustainability Innovation Engine and PEAK Water will be highlighted at the 2024 Salt Lake County Watershed Symposium (November 20-21, 2024).
Free and open to all, the Salt Lake County Watershed Symposium encourages a comprehensive review of the current state of our watershed while creating learning and networking opportunities for a broad array of stakeholders. Sessions cover a broad range of topics on water quality and watershed issues with local, regional, and national relevance.
Professor Brenda Bowen will serve as the keynote speaker. Brenda is a Professor of Geology and Geophysics and Chair of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Utah. She is the Utah lead on the Southwest Sustainability Innovation Engine, a National Science Foundation initiative that aims to elevate the Southwest as a regional hub of economic development catalyzed by sustainability innovation.
