Intramural Funding
The Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) runs numerous programs that support faculty from internal funding to grant training. Recently, AVPR Jakob Jensen presented a virtual town hall introducing infrastructure and events including:
- VPR communication channels (Research Post, Innovate U, and the AVPR's Desk)
- VPR Units such as OSP, the Pre-Award Unit, and LIFT
- Research councils and committees such as the One Utah Research Council and the University Research Committee
- Internal funding such as Faculty Fellowships, Small Grants, Research Instrumentation Fund, Community Based Research Partnership Formation Grants, Community Based Research Implementation Grants, 1U4U Seed Grants, the RAC Grand Challenge, and many more.
- Limited Submission Opportunities
- NSF Cohort Fellowship training program
- Research proposal writing and editing
- Research translation funding such as SBIR/STTR grants
- Hubs, Working Groups, and Initiatives
- Upcoming events such as town halls, webinars, and retreats
