IT teams across campus are seeing an increase in attempted email scams and account breaches. These attacks often begin with a phishing email asking you to verify your login or share personal information. Once attackers gain access, they can send fraudulent messages from your account, putting others at risk.

To protect yourself:

• Never click on suspicious links or attachments
• Report phishing emails using the Gmail “Report phishing” option
• Enable two-factor authentication
• Use strong, unique passwords
