Lightning Talk Event: “Ultra-Processed Foods & Artificial Additives

Research has identified that chemicals in ultra-processed food and artificial additives could be a leading cause to negative health outcomes. Critical information identifying the effects of these chemicals and additives is proving to be vital to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as it strives to create healthier communities.
The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Future of Food Working Group are excited to host a 90-minute “Ultra-Processed Foods & Artificial Additives” event designed to identify related and existing areas of strength on campus, hear lightning talks from active researchers in this space, and discuss emerging research opportunity in this area. The goal of this event is to help mobilize potential research teams on these topics.
